Starts at Salisbury Street in Wrightsville Beach and travels thru the community of Landfall.

The 3rd Annual Quintiles Wrightsville Beach Marathon presented by Landfall Realty. The marathon and half marathon "Miles of Madness" will start at Wrightsville Beach and travel a route through the scenic Landfall Community in Wilmington. The events draw competitors from all over the country. Runner's World ranked this Marathon as one of the top ten races that qualified runners for the Boston Marathon.

The MMRF will be with you every step of the way, from the moment you sign up to the incredible moment you cross the finish line. Running on our team promises to be one of the most empowering and inspiring experiences of your life.
MMRF athletes who join the Quintiles Marathon and Half Marathon MMRF PowerTeam pledge to raise a minimum of $1500 for the MMRF. Team members receive free virtual training and other training support to get you ready for race day. Free fundraising tools, including a personalized online fundraising page, downloadable marketing materials, and full time fundraising support are provided to help you reach your fundraising goals. Team newsletters which provide important team news, training and fundraising tips and lots of inspiration help our runners get to the starting line meeting all of their goals, fundraising, training and personal. Team members also receive race day team jerseys, marathon "support team" t-shirts, and other runner amenities.
In order to ensure that 90% of all funds raised go back to fund myeloma research, each MMRF athlete will be responsible for costs such as marathon registration, transportation and hotel accommodations.
About the MMRF and Multiple Myeloma
The mission of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is to relentlessly pursue innovative means that accelerate the development of next-generation multiple myeloma treatments to extend the lives of patients and lead to a cure. The MMRF is the world's largest private funder of myeloma research. An outstanding 90% of all funds spent go toward research and related programming. Multiple myeloma is an incurable blood cancer. Although progress has been made in treating multiple myeloma, the five-year survival rate remains one of the lowest of all cancers.
